About The National Land Information System project
The implementation of the NLIS involved four primary components 1) System Design based on open source software; 2) Data Conversion involving the restoration of old maps and the digitization of these and other hard land administration documents, 3) Registration and Cadastral Data Integration to link the digitized land registration and administration data to the digital map within the NLIS; and 4) Roll-Out and Establishment of the NLIS in the 22 MZOs; in addition to training of over 400 MLHUD staff in the maintenance and operation of the system and public awareness.
